Headteacher's Welcome
We are a school full of love, life, laughter and learning
A very warm welcome to Christ the King RC Primary School.
At Christ the King, our school community is rooted in the teachings of Jesus and guided by His love. We strive each day to be the very best we can – nurturing children academically, personally and spiritually in an environment where everyone feels valued and cared for.
I feel incredibly privileged to be the Headteacher of Christ the King. It is a school where relationships are at the heart of everything we do, and where children are truly known as individuals. We work hard to ensure that every child feels safe, happy and confident to be themselves, and visitors regularly comment on the warmth, calmness and sense of belonging that they experience as soon as they walk through our doors.
As Ofsted recognised:
“Pupils see school as a happy place to be. They feel well cared for and welcome.”
We believe that every child is unique and created in the image and likeness of God. Our strong Catholic ethos supports children in following the example of Jesus through kindness, respect, forgiveness and compassion. We encourage our pupils to aim high, to approach challenges with resilience and confidence, and to take pride in their achievements, knowing that they are supported every step of the way.
At Christ the King, learning goes beyond academic success. We place great importance on children’s wellbeing, personal development and sense of belonging. We believe children learn best when they feel secure and supported, and when home and school work together in partnership. We value the trust and involvement of our parents and carers and see this partnership as essential to helping every one of our amazing children to flourish.
We are also proud of our close links with the Parish of Christ the King, which enrich our faith life and strengthen the sense of community that sits at the heart of our school.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. I hope it gives you a real insight into who we are and what we stand for. Our website is regularly updated, so please do keep coming back – or better still, come and visit us to see our wonderful school in action.
I look forward to welcoming you and your family into our school family.
