Celebrating our Faith
At Christ the King, our faith life is at the very heart of everything we do. We joyfully celebrate our Catholic faith through a rich tapestry of prayer, liturgy, and community worship that nurtures the spiritual growth of every pupil. These faith experiences are fundamental in fostering a strong, supportive, and loving school community where all feel valued and inspired.
Guided by the Prayer and Liturgy Directory – "To Love You More Dearly", we ensure that our worship is meaningful, accessible, and age-appropriate, enabling all pupils to encounter God in ways that resonate deeply with their faith journey.
We embrace the traditions, sacraments, and customs of the universal Catholic Church, living out our mission to nurture the whole person in the light of the Gospel. As Pope Francis reminds us, "Let us ask the Lord to make us more catholic – to enable us, like a great family, to grow together in faith and love, to draw others to Jesus in the communion of the Church, and to welcome the gifts and contributions of everyone, in order to create a joyful symphony of praise to God for his goodness, his grace, and his redemptive love."
Below, you will find some of the special events and celebrations that bring our faith to life throughout the school year.
You can also find further details in our Annual Plan of Provision.
We share the Wednesday word each week via Class Dojo. The Wednesday Word is an excellent resource that can be used in the class and at home to reflect on the issues and messages present in the liturgies.
